Charli XCX Can't Stop Dropping Hints About New Music
Her new single, 'Good Ones', will be released early next month.
Charli XCX has been posting cryptic content on social media hinting at a new album.
The singer announced on Instagram that her new single Good Ones will be released on September 2nd. Many are conspiring that a new album is on the way, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Instagram posts have been hinting towards new music, with Charli sporting a seductively sleek 80s-esque look complete with the immense back combed hair. A new era of the singer appears to be definite, with the singer using captions such as “Evolved” and “RIP hyperpop”.
Over on TikTok, Charli posted a strobe-light-infused video with an unreleased song, again reaffirming the possibility of a new album on the way.
The track list for what is currently being referred to as XCX5 has not been confirmed, however artists such as long-term collaborator A.G Cook and Deaton Chris Anthony are rumored to appear on the record.
Charli XCX’s last record, How I’m feeling now, was released back in 2020 and made entirely in quarantine. Although her previous releases have been heavily influenced by electronic and experimental pop, it seems that her new music will see a new side to the pop princess.
