Y-3 Presents A Fluid, Monochrome Collection For SS19
Featuring lightweight fabrics and a focus on fluidity.
Y-3 has released its SS19 look book, presenting a black and white collection of comfortable and casual looks and contrasting fabrics.
The collection features easy to wear pieces like all-in-one jumpsuits and boiler suits, rucksacks and slides, perfect for everyday wear. The styles range from sturdy basics to more lightweight items with a lot of movement, but all hold true to Yohji Yamamoto’s signature avant-garde style.
The look book is set in a dusty shipping yard in LA, which really makes the monochrome garments stand out, and was shot by Angelo Pennetta. When releasing the look book Y-3 stated that it was a ‘casual, offhand aesthetic that contrasts with the fluidity of the clothing’.
The collection becomes available today (January 7th) in Y-3 flagship stores and online.
