Streetwear Americana For Wood Wood AW 18
Before and After: a coming of age story
This Autumn/Winter 2018, Wood Wood productions presents a series of stories, a coming of age, inspired by Classic Americana: Before and After.
Movie trailer vibes. That's what you get from Wood Wood's latest collection. An inspiration coming of age story set in a small American town. A group of friends transitioning from high school to college to adulthood (it's a trap never grow up!!). The apparel takes the wearer on a journey of classic Americana streetwear of patchwork, corduroy two pieces, and flannel in all the red, mustard, black and white a small town can handle.
The collection features mini print stories: ‘Leave Me Alone With Your Attention’, ‘Fan Club’ and ‘Sad Songs Make Me Happy’; all a commemoration of teenage life and growing up. Taking cues from cult American youth culture classics like raw denim and army surplus outfits of the late 80's, the collection has been reworked to a more modern aesthetic in Autumn (Fall in Americana Lingo) hues. The apparel is a masterpiece within itself and the unisex 80's inspired sneaker a homage to the transition.
