Is Vetements' “Snuff” Necklace Calling Out Fashion's Cocaine Problem?

Demna Gvasalia, you are pure genius.

POSTED BY DEE CUNNING

Vetements' Demna Gvasalia has never shied away from calling out the fashion industry: from its consumer culture to the superfluousness of trends to high-fashion's appropriation of working-class styles. The, very '90s, new Vetements “Snuff” necklace – an unscrewable vial-shaped pendant complete with a tiny spoon – is the brand's latest clever commentary, this time highlighting fashion's cocaine problem.

Of course this isn't the first drug paraphernalia fashion to come out of Vetements – remember that nifty 750 dollar weed grinder necklace? Genius move. And just sayin', but we're having way too much fun thinking of alternative applications for the “Snuff” necklace: the perfect accessory for when your takeout Starbucks just ain't sweet enough.
