Vault By Vans X Taka Hayashi
A skater boys(or girls) dream shoe.
Taka Hayashi, born in Japan, and raised in Santa Monica, California—has quite the impressive artistic background and a life well spent in the skateboarding scene.
Hayashi began his journey with Vans through friend Berto, of Supreme LA and Vans Syndicate. After being thoroughly impressed with Hayashi’s art, he then invited him to collaborate with Vans, all the way back in 2005! Hayashi’s distinctive artistic style landed him his own line within Vans.
The two new releases—the OG Style 24 LX and OG Style 47 LX, are a skater boys(or girls) dream shoe.
Style 24 is a high-top style with full canvas uppers and contrast piping and lace guard. This show style comes in the color options of a black and white, as well as, a trendy off-white option. Both include Hayashi’s iconic checkerboard print.
The OG style 47 LX is tipping its hat to racing suits of the 1970s. Similar to Style 24, Style 47 also has a touch of the checkerboard pattern. This funky, skater style shoe comes in two incredible colors—“Baja Blue” and “Raven”.
The Taka Hayashi X Vans combo is out in stores now. You don’t have to be a skater to wear these groovy kicks!
