Vans Musicians Wanted Announces Global Concert Stream
Tune in to see Nilüfer Yanya, J.I.D, Bohan Phoenix and Anderson .Paak.
The iconic global brand Vans doesn’t need any introduction. It’s not only a leading sports action label though but also, the organizer of Vans Musicians Wanted. The inclusive, international initiative enables creative self-expression through music, global exposure of undiscovered artists and the opportunity to perform for the worldwide audience. Originally created by Vans’ Asia-Pacific region in 2015, it’s been introduced as a digital platform this year, open to all musicians and genres around the world. It received over 22,000 submissions.
The stream of global concert, scheduled for December 9, will include top-5 finalists from each region. Even a short glance at the list of performers shows the diversity and inclusivity of Vans Musicians Wanted.
Finalists from EMEA region include:
- JoeJas, rapper and producer;
- Nikaa, 19-yo British-Italian singer;
- Duck Baleno, pop-rock quartet (Verona, Italy);
- YGGL, grunge rock musician;
- NTT, British-Polish multi-instrumentalist and performer.
The AMERICAS region is represented by:
- Charlee Parker, rapper/producer;
- Total Rubbish, female rock-trio (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania);
- Bando, hip-hop artists (LA);
- Lucia Tacchetti, Argentinian electro-pop group (Argentina);
- $tik, hip-hop performer (Canada).
Last but not least, the artists from the APAC region feature:
- Num Num, experimental rock group (Seoul);
- Ultra-Mega Cat Attack, hard-rock band (Singapore);
- H4RDY, DJ/producer (Seoul);
- 龍胆紫PurpleSoul, underground hip-hop artist (China);
- Niko Niko Tan Tan, alternative rock-duo, (Tokyo, Japan).
Special guest judges will also make the appearance: J.I.D and Bohan Phoenix, artists featured in Vans’ latest brand campaign, ‘THIS IS OFF THE WALL,’ European based singer-songwriter Nilüfer Yanya, and Vans Global Music Ambassador, Anderson .Paak. Vans Musicians Wanted provides not only media recognition but also a number of awards: Vans products, Fender gear, global music distribution, Spotify and Apple Music playlisting and the opportunity to share the Anderson .Paak. The stakes are high.
