Urban Decay's New Heat Palette Is LIT
Time to turn up (the heat)?
Urban Decay dropped a bombshell into the beauty community when it announced the brand new edition the NAKED saga. This palette has been enthusiastically welcomed by social media and beauty influencers, with many recently uploading the first swatches and eye looks using this fiery palette.
These shadows may all be in the warm tone realm, but WOW they’re beautiful! There are twelve eyeshadows in total which include a mixture of luxurious mattes and glistening shimmers. The colours range from burnt oranges to warm reds and pigmentation is very good; Urban Decay have succeeded in making an excellent addition to the NAKED range.
The first colour is ‘Ounce’, a light, golden colour that has an essence of shimmer. This colour would be perfect for setting the base on an eye-lid or blending out some of the darker colours. The colour after this is ‘Chaser’ a brown and peachy colour which has warm undertones with a matte finish, a great colour for light peachy looks for the summer.
The third colour is ‘Sauced’ which is a darker brown than ‘Ounce’ and has more of an orange undertone than a peach one. The colour is very warm, with a matte finish and is extremely pigmented eyeshadow. The colour which follows is ‘Low Blow’ a medium brown which is has very strong orange undertones within which gives the colour a lot of warmth and it is also has a matte finish.
The fifth colour is ‘Lumbre’ which is a beautiful coral colour which has red undertones. The shadow has a pearlescent sheen to it which would be a beautiful all-over lid colour. The colour next is ‘He Devil’ which is a medium brown which has a strong red undertone and the pigmentation on this particular shadow is very intense. This shadow has a matte finish so perfect for using in the crease of the eye or to deepen an eye look.
The seventh colour is ‘Dirty Talk’ which is not as bold as other colours in the palette but still a gorgeous shade. ‘Dirty Talk’ is a copper colour with brown and orange undertones, and has a frosted texture. The eighth colour is ‘Scorched’ which is a sparkling, metallic in the palette which is a dark brown which has slight red-tones underneath.
The ninth colour is ‘Cayenne’ which is a stunning matte colour which is a dark brown with subtle warm undertones. This colour would be great in the crease for darkening an eye look. The tenth colour is ‘En Fuego’ which a deep and sultry dark red with hints of plum and has a matte finish. This shadow would be perfect for making any eye look warm and smoky.
Now down to the last two colours in this sizzling palette. The first is ‘Ashes’ a purple plum shade which is slightly muted and has warm brown undertones. This shade has a matte finish and will be the perfect colour for adding depth to any warm toned look. The final colour is ‘Ember’ one of the most unique shades in this palette, a deep frosted shade which is slightly olive in undertone yet with a plum colour with a shimmer of bronze.
This palette is a scorcher and has set the temperature high in the hype for this anticipated collection. All us beauty-holics are waiting on the edge of our seats for the release date to add this beautiful set to our collection. Well done Urban Decay; a fabulous addition to the brand.
