Dilara Findikoglu Is Turkey’s Best Fashion Export
We were mesmerized, fascinated and hypnotized. All at the same time. Even our jaws dropped a little bit, like literally. Because back for her Fall/Winter 2013 Danteâs Inferno collection designer Dilara Findikoglu mixed Islamic/Arabic aspects with urban shapes, which was right up our alley. And she came a long way.
Dilara is a Turkish designer (we are not going into politics this time, although we really should) who studied fashion at Central St. Martins College in London and also works as stylist and fashion editor for a couple of magazines, like Fucking Young, Vogue and the list goes on and on. Her collections have always been kinda autobiographical and her inspirations are mainly : Dante Alighieri, parapsychology, flowers, Tolkien, renaissance and Katie Shillingford, all of which you can see in every of her fashion pieces. Her latest genius introduces us to a world of glam punk and rock, showing that women are strong and inspirational.
