The Waterdrop Nail Trend Will Get You Psyched For Your Next Nail Appointment

TBH, I’m going to be rocking these all summer.

If you always find yourself reaching for regular-ass polishes from the nail salon wall, the time has come for you to switch things up. Level up from your basic manis with these statement waterdrop nails that will make people do a double-take when their eyes catch your nails.

Waterdrop nails, aka wet nails, are anything but boring. The 3D embellishments give the illusion of water droplets on nails. The first person that popularised this nail trend was L.A. based nail artist Sojin Oh, who began experimenting with the design while at beauty school.

Clear droplets on a blue canvas is a beautiful combination πŸ’Ž have you tried the water droplet look yet?

If you’re curious how she creates the pearly dew droplets, Oh explains that she sculpts the droplets using builder gel. The builder gel she uses is a viscosity gel that can be used to create and build shape. Interesting, huh? It’s also the gel your nail tech uses to create longer nails and fix broken nails.

What’s not to love about this trend, right?
