Two months into the new year, and somehow I’m already begging for a break. Thankfully, spring vacation is in sight, and honestly, it couldn’t come soon enough. Between extra work, nonstop school, and trying to keep up with my hobbies, the only thing getting me through is the promise that in one month I’ll be trading my packed schedule for a packed bag and a sunny beach trip.
Whether you’re traveling to Destin, the Dominican Republic, or just dressing up for a staycation, it’s time to start shopping for resort wear and building the perfect packing list.
To me, there’s no better feeling than leaving the beach sunburnt from tanning all day, showering, and dressing your best for a night out with friends. However, the beach to nighttime pipeline requires weeks of outfit planning, so I came up with the perfect shopping guide to speed up the process.
When putting together vacation outfits, I’m always looking for versatility–pieces that easily transition from beachside to nighttime with only a few styling tweaks. A good pair of linen pants can quickly go from being a bikini cover-up during the day to a dinner-ready ensemble with a cute tank and heels at night. And, a crochet dress can be worn by the pool or as a sleek evening outfit.
Spring break is the one time we’re encouraged to dress as loudly as possible, making it the epitome of resort-wear fashion. Even if the week is only reserved for college girls, I say, the bolder and brighter, the better.
