The Parent Trap Reunion: Everything You Need To Know

The cast of the much-loved childhood film reunited to spill some behind-the-scene secrets and support World Central Kitchen.

For the first time since the 1998 movie, the cast of ‘The Parent Trap’ reunited on Katie Couric’s Instagram to spill secrets, share all the mems and raise funds for World Central Kitchen.

Director Nancy Myers shared how tricky it was to film scenes featuring Lindsey Lohan playing both twins, reminisced on the late Natasha Richardson, and celebrated the ongoing legacy of the iconic film.

Sharing the screen with Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid, Elaine Hendrix, Lisa Ann Walter, Simon Kuntz, Katie Couric, and producer Charles Shyer, the cast and team honored the film’s 22nd anniversary, sharing some of their favorite memories including Lohan’s elaborate handshake and even re-enacted one of the scenes.

The reunion was organized to support Chef Jose Andres’ charity World Central Kitchen, which provides fresh and healthy meals to underprivileged communities, as Couric shared in her Instagram post:

After chatting with @nmyers during an IG Live – we decide that we should try and see if we could pull off getting the Parent Trap gang back together again for the first time since 1998 – and guess what, we really did it!!! @lindsaylohan, @dennisquaid@lisaannwalter#SimonKunz, and @elaine4animals join writer-director @nmeyers and writer-producer #CharlesShyer to share their memories from filming, reenact their favorite scenes and discuss the film’s lasting impact.
PS: With COVID-19 continuing to ravage the globe, we all decided to use this reunion as an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for @wckitchen - @chefjoseandres organization that is helping feed those in need all across the world.
