The Official Trailer For The New Nicki Minaj Documentary Has Finally Arrived
The rap icon teases fans with 2 minute trailer.
Since the release of her fourth studio album "Queen" back in 2018, Nicki Minaj has been hinting at an upcoming documentary that will chronicle her humble beginnings, rise to fame, and the struggles she has gone through in the music industry and throughout her career. At one point in 2020, Nicki stated on her Instagram account that the documentary will be released through HBO Max, but as the months went by, the Barbz grew impatient due to there being no further discussions or mentions of the documentary. In March of this year, in a lengthy interview with Joe Budden, Nicki addressed the doc and said she is looking for a "new home" for it and urged fans to be as patient as possible.
Well, nearly five months later, On July 29, the Chun-Li rapper uploaded a two-minute trailer for the doc on social media. In her post, Nicki writes "I took some time to perfect this very intimate, delicate, electrifying, inspiring body of work. As I decide on a home for this project, I can’t help but reflect on what I’m including in this doc. Some things are so personal, it’s scary. It’s like NOTHING you’ve seen before & I need it to be handled with care. Love you so much. Thank you for the continued support."
It has been a glorious week of celebration for the Barbz who have patiently waited since 2018 when the documentary was first teased to the public, and now the documentary is closer and realer than it has ever been.
The documentary is being developed and produced by BRON Studios, yet like Minaj mentioned in her social media post regarding the trailer, the documentary is still in the process of finding a "home", presumably another major streaming platform.
The documentary currently has no release date, however Nicki claims that it will be coming out sooner than we think.
