The North Face Introduces Its Take On Femininity With The “Black Series“ SS20 Line
Taking some creative risks on the way to design-driven fashion pays off!
The North Face dives into the pool of high-fashion creative thinking, as the new “Black Series“ line approaches femininity in a new way. The brand doesn’t shy away from playing with materials and silhouettes for this SS20 release.
Heritage and innovation will always be aspects dear to The North Face’s heart, as they move forward with their designs. Inspired by their heritage on the mountain, the most technologically advanced materials got paired with imaginative and clean silhouettes, delivering an aesthetically modern and minimalist line.
Taking a closer look at the designs, bringing in a diverse team designers with experience ranging from haute couture to technical sportswear definitely payed off big time for the brand. Pieces we never saw coming from The North Face are here, and we’re so happy they are. Yes straight cuts and slightly oversized silhouettes, please stay— we love you.
While observing the silhouettes, the new femininity that graces the “Black Series“ is everything we wished for— and The North Face delivered. Beside the electrifying yellow turtleneck body, that is most definitely a stand-out piece, a pair of shorts is what caught our eye. The black shorts doesn’t stand out with popping color, but with smart design: It creates an A-line skirt-like silhouette, highlighting the thought that went into every detail during the design process.
Head of Global Creative Tim Hamilton states: “With Black Series, we have created the next step in the evolution of The North Face as a brand that dares to disrupt and push the boundaries of innovation to deliver timeless designs that are built to last a lifetime.“ The innovation peaks with the materials used in this collection, as the brand’s new breathable, waterproof material FUTURELIGHT is being included.
The North Face proves once again, that fashion-forward thinking doesn't need to be loud and in your face. With creative design choices, the “Black Series“ is definitely a collection to keep an eye on.
The collection drops February 26th in selected The North Face stores and online.
