The Internet Can’t Believe These Photos Of Lily James (And Neither Can We)

The star’s major transformation for Hulu’s Pam & Tommy has everyone talking.

As soon as you see the first promo photo released by Hulu for their upcoming biopic series, Pam & Tommy, you know exactly who you’re looking at. It’s Pamela Anderson: the quintessential ‘90s blonde bombshell and Playboy playmate extraordinaire. Well, actually, it’s Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! /Downton Abbey darling, Lily James. Like us, you’re probably currently squinting your eyes and tilting your head trying to figure out how Lily James is possibly in there, and yeah– it’s nearly impossible to do.

The other officially released photo shows James with her soon-to-be T.V. husband, Sebastian Stan (who you probably either know from Gossip Girl or Captain America, depending on what you’re into.) Stan’s transformation into his character, Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee, is also crazy-accurate in this photo modeled directly after Tommy and Pamela’s famous nipple ring-biting photo.

The Craig Gillespie-directed drama will dig into the infamous leaking of Anderson and Lee’s sex tape. Seth Rogan, Nick Offerman, Taylor Schilling, and Andrew ‘Dice’ Clay make up more of the show’s eclectic cast. While filming began in early April, there’s no set release date. So, while we wait, we (like the rest of the Twitterverse) will keep trying to figure out how that photo of Pamela Anderson could actually be Lily James and hoping the lead makeup artist drops a tutorial ASAP.
