The Bridgerton Season Two Trailer Is Here and it Seems Perfectly Chaotic

The trailer for the second season of Shonda Rimes’ Bridgerton dropped yesterday ahead of the release of the season on Netflix later this month, and it is safe to say that it did not hold back. The first season of the show was a huge success and left fans desperate for more, especially considering the ending of the first series which revealed to viewers the identity of Lady Whistledown. 

Although, fans were disappointed that next season will not be following the protagonists of the first series, Daphne and the Duke, and many were mourning the loss of Regé-Jean Page from the show, the trailer promises similar levels of chaotic drama to look forward to. Phoebe Denver will continue her role of Daphne in the series and made a couple of appearances in the teaser. The trailer showed a potentially messy love triangle between the Viscount and the new characters of Kate and Edwina Sharma which appears to be the leading plot of this series. We were also shown some of the potential fallout of Penelope’s position as Lady Whistledown continuing on from the finale of the last season as well as the trailer teasing Penelope’s unrequited love for Colin who has returned from his tour of Europe. There is also a fleeting suggestion of a potential love interest for the romance-hating, anti-marriage and fan-favorite Eloise.

The second series of Bridgerton will be released on Netflix on March 25th 2022.
