On Sunday 9th August, a 17-year-old employee of the Sesame Place Theme Park in Pennsylvania was aggressively beaten by two guests after he reminded the couple for the second time to adhere to the theme park’s face mask policy.

"He was aggressively punched by both the female and the male," Middletown Township Police Lieutenant Stephen Forman said.

The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he undertook surgery for his jaw and teeth after taking a vicious beating to his face. "The health and safety of our guests and team members is our top priority, and violence of any kind is unacceptable and not tolerated at our park" Sesame Place said in a statement to CBS Philadelphia.

The couple left the park following the assault with New York license plates. Authorities are now searching for the attackers, with cooperation from Sesame Place. Local authorities are also working with the New York Police Department, where detectives have confirmed they will issue arrest warrants for both the attackers.

There is currently no word whether the young employee will be filing any charges.
