Who's in and who's out?
Taylor Swift is known for having a loyal and glamorous squad of friends, but it seems like the pop star is always adding new members to her circle. On Thursday night, Swift and her pals enjoyed a late-night dinner at BondST in New York City, and there were some surprising faces in the group.
Taylor was joined by Brittany Mahomes and Sophie Turner, who are both married to famous athletes: Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Joe Jonas, the singer of the Jonas Brothers. Mahomes and Turner are relatively new to Swift's squad, and they seemed to fit right in with the rest of the ladies.
The other guests included Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne, who have been friends with Swift for years. Hadid and Delevingne are both supermodels and actresses, and they often appear in Swift's music videos and social media posts. They also attended Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018.
But the most notable person in the squad was Selena Gomez, who is Swift's best friend and longtime collaborator. Gomez and Swift have been friends since 2008, when they met at a Jonas Brothers concert. They have supported each other through their ups and downs, and they have performed together on stage several times.
Selena stood out from the rest of the squad with her outfit choice. While most of the ladies wore sexy and edgy outfits, like Swift's thigh-high boots and Cara's leather chaps, she opted for a cozy and comfy sweater dress. The camel-colored dress featured a turtleneck and oversized sleeves, and it was belted at the waist. Selena looked like she was ready for a Netflix binge rather than a night out.
Tay also had another night out with a different friend on Friday. She was spotted at Minetta Tavern with Phoebe Bridgers, the indie rock singer who has collaborated with Jack Antonoff, Swift's frequent producer and co-writer. Taylor wore a Gucci logo sweater and flared pants in various shades of brown, along with heeled loafers and a satchel bag. She also had her signature red lip and cat-eye liner on.
Swift's squad night out comes amid rumors that she is dating Travis Kelce, another NFL star who plays for the Chiefs. Kelce was asked about his relationship with Swift in a recent interview, but he refused to confirm or deny anything. He said he wanted to keep his personal life personal, and he focused on his football career instead.
Taylor has not commented on the rumors either, but fans are wondering if she will write a song about Kelce in the future. Swift is known for writing songs about her exes, such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, John Mayer, and Calvin Harris.
