Did Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Break Up?
It's a sad day for the Swifties.
Taylor Swift and rumored fiancé Joe Alwyn have reportedly ended their six-year relationship. According to a source at Entertainment Tonight, the pair actually “broke up a few weeks ago." The source said that the “amicable” break-up was “not dramatic,” saying "the relationship had just run its course. It's why [Alwyn] hasn't been spotted at any shows.”
Reps for Swift and Alwyn haven’t confirmed the rumored split, but numerous sources are reporting on the break-up. The 33-year-old Swift is currently on her highly-anticipated North American “Eras” stadium tour, where Alwyn hasn’t been seen in attendance.
The “Anti-Hero” singer met the “Conversations With Friends” actor at the 2016 Met Gala, where the two struck up a relationship from there. The power couple are also frequent song collaborators, with Alwyn winning a Grammy for his work on Swift’s eighth album Folklore under the name “William Bowery.”
Rumors have routinely surrounded the couple throughout their six-year relationship. Alwyn and Swift were reportedly engaged last October, causing Swift to write the song “Lavender Haze” about the rumors.
“No deal, the 1950's shit they want from me. I just wanna stay in the lavender haze,” Swift sings about the relationship.
