Sustainability Meets Individuality With VEJA x MARNI Second Collaborative Collection
Scribbled sneakers are the new shoe to look out for the fall.
VEJA x MARNI have teamed up again for a second collaborative collection. The collection features three styles all designed with creative new colorways. Providing a perfect combination of VEJA’s sustainable elements with MARNI’s experimental aesthetic, the collaboration provides a joyful and nostalgic feeling. The V-10 and high top V-15 sneakers incorporate colorful scribbled motifs that are reminiscent of childhood drawings and are a unique take on individuality.
The incorporation of the drawing motif on these eco-friendly sneakers is not just innovative in design but in application. MARNI x VEJA designed the sneakers to be assembled by hand resulting in the shoes looking different on the right and left foot. Staying true to VEJA’s sustainable roots, the collection is crafted with Amazonian rubber, rice waste and recycled rubber. The leather used on the upper soles is sourced from farms in Uruguay and is tanned in Brazil utilizing a method that has careful water usage.
The VEJA x MARNI collaboration will be available exclusively on Veja-store.com and Marni.com from Oct. 13 and will be available in select stores from Oct. 20.
