Supreme Pays Tribute To The Velvet Underground In Latest Fall Drop
Punk, Grunge, Goth and New Wave all trace their roots to The Velvet Underground
With the Fall 2019 season now in full swing, Supreme has announced that part of the FW19 collection will include a collaboration with New York City-based rock band, The Velvet Underground. In 1964, singer/guitarist Lou Reed met John Cale and formed the band, with the intentions of energizing popular music with their shared experimental sensibilities.
This month, Supreme will release a collection of apparel, featuring The Velvet Underground’s original album artwork, consisting of a ringer tee, rayon shirts, 2 hooded sweatshirts, and 3 t-shirts.
The Supreme x The Velvet Underground collaborative collection will be available to purchase in-store in New York, Brooklyn, LA, London and Paris & online on Friday, September 19th at 11 am. As usual, the Japan drop will be a few days later, on September 21st.
