Sun, Sand, Style: Givenchy Plage's Latest Collection
Your ultimate summer statement.
Givenchy has launched the second installment of its vacation-inspired collection, Givenchy Plage, available in stores and online. This year's assortment has expanded to include accessories such as shoes, leather goods, and handbags, alongside their ready-to-wear pieces that are perfect for transitioning from the beach to a cocktail party.
Among the standout pieces is the 4G liquid necklace in metal, a striking addition available now in stores and on givenchy.com. The clothing is versatile, designed for a seamless transition from sandy shores to upscale cocktail gatherings, making each piece ideal for both relaxation and refined social events.
The design efforts, previously spearheaded by Matthew M. Williams, are now continued by the collective genius of the Givenchy design studio. They introduced several eye-catching motifs, including the Provence stripes and a vibrant lemon print, likely inspired by the historic lemon groves of Hubert de Givenchy’s estate. These elements are anticipated to resonate well with shoppers. Pricing starts at $350 for a simple yet chic bracelet, reaching up to $3,150 for an intricately designed caftan within the women's collection. The men’s range is similarly priced, beginning at $290 for bracelets and culminating at $2,700 for a finely tailored jacket.
In a strategic move to captivate an exclusive clientele, Saks Fifth Avenue is set to re-launch the collection with a curated assortment of wholesale items. These will be available only through its website and at three flagship stores in New York, Beverly Hills, and Houston. Each location will host immersive interior installations that reflect the collection's beachy theme, complete with palm trees and custom ceramics, enhancing the shopping experience.
Following this, on May 15, Mytheresa will debut an exclusive eight-piece extension of the Givenchy Plage collection. This limited edition will feature a soothing baby blue color palette, encompassing dresses, separates, and accessories, all crafted in terry cotton jacquard and subtly embellished with the house’s iconic 4G logo.
With this collection, Givenchy not only continues its legacy of elegance and innovation but also embraces the joyful, carefree spirit of summer.
What do you think? Could you see yourself picking up something for our next beach getaway, or maybe as a fancy gift?
