Spotify Unveiled A Website Modification That Will Allow Users To Buy Concert Tickets
Update Your Spotify Right Now!
Spotify has announced a new website update that will benefit their Premium users! In addition, the music streaming service debuted a feature allowing listeners to purchase concert tickets directly from the Spotify website. Currently, the company is testing this attribute with up-and-coming artists; Dirty Honey, Limbeck, and Annie DiRusso have agreed to post tickets for future shows.
If users want a similar feature but don’t want to commit to the new website, they can use an already implemented feature on the app. For example, the current Spotify app has a characteristic called Live Events Feed, where a link will direct users to companies such as Ticketmaster and Eventbrite to complete their purchase. According to Hype Beast, the new venture Spotify is taking will allow them to sell tickets “on behalf of event partners including promoters, fan clubs, artists and venues.” Should this work out, Spotify could become a competitor with StubHub and Ticketmaster.
