Speedo x Girl Brunch Run: Laps, Yaps & Liberation
Community through movement.
Berlin just served us a collision of chlorine and runner’s high. Last Sunday, the FLINTA* community laced up, dove in, and took over the Hotel Oderberger pool for Speedo’s Swim Club LAPS & YAPS with Girl Brunch Run. Think sweat, splashes, and solidarity all rolled into one — a movement that proved sport can be about empowerment, not pressure.
Beyond Fast Times
Speedo isn’t here just to crown the fastest swimmer. With Girl Brunch Run, the brand spotlighted community over competition. “I swam in Speedo as a child, so this collaboration is very special for me,” said Girl Brunch Run founder Franziska Pöhlmann. Together, the crews built a space where every pace — beginner or pro — had room to grow. Olympic champs Angelina Köhler and Elena Semechin plus extreme swimmer Nathalie Pohl showed up to coach, dropping gems on technique, stamina, and confidence.
Brunch, Banter, and Biofuse Goggles
Post-laps, it was all about recovery: a brunch stacked with healthy snacks and a side of real talk. Speedo decked out guests with exclusive swimsuits, goggles, swim caps, and merch — a tangible reminder that sport can look chic while feeling inclusive. Influencer Larissa Hausler was spotted among the crowd, blending in seamlessly with a crew that swapped tips as easily as playlists.
What’s Next?
2026 is already looking wetter, wilder, and more diverse. Speedo plans to expand its Swim Club events, doubling down on inclusivity and female-led communities. With cultural diversity and self-determination at the core, the brand’s goal is simple: build a stronger, splashier, more unapologetic community. If LAPS & YAPS was a teaser, the next chapter promises nothing less than a cultural wave.
