Early 2019 Solange dropped ‘When I Get Home’, which was a highly anticipated follow-on from ‘A Seat at the Table’ which was released in 2016.

Both albums explore Solange Knowles’ hometown of Houston, Texas and her experiences growing up there.

Films and music videos released for ‘When I Get Home’ include cowboys, stunning headpieces and we can’t forget the DeLoreans. If you enjoyed that cinematic experience, prepare yourself for some unbelievable news.

Solange is planning on debuting a brand new, extended directors cut of the ‘When I Get Home’ film at the Museum of Fine Arts in her hometown of Houston, Texas. The new edit of this film will take the runtime from 30 minutes to a stunning 41 minutes. That extra 11 minutes of Solange is all we need.

Make sure you note down July 17 in your diaries as you wouldn’t want to miss this premiere!

If you can’t make it to this premiere, don’t worry! Following the debut, the film will screen at museums worldwide throughout July and August. Don’t worry if you can’t get to any of these screenings though, because a full release will occur online from August 5.
