Sephora Is Reopening From May 22
70 stores will open across 13 states.
70 stores across 13 states will reopen, including in Tennessee, Texas, Alaska, South Carolina and Colorada, in safer communities, with new safety and client service protocols, ‘Sephora Health and Hygiene Guidelines’.
The press release reads: ‘The retailer has spent the last nine weeks developing its rigorous new safety and client service protocols, called ‘Sephora Health and Hygiene Guidelines’, designed to protect employees and clients while safely and confidently providing support, expert advice, and a welcoming experience for all,’ adding ‘Prior to moving ahead with any future store openings, Sephora will evaluate each store based on local government and health guidance before making a decision. As always, Sephora will continue to assess business operations through all reopening phases and as states and cities share their requirements to adapt accordingly. Additional Sephora stores are expected to open gradually over the next several months’.
The 48 safety procedures included in the guides will address social distancing, restricted store capacity, and deep cleaning and hygiene measures, mandatory face masks for all employees, contact-free payment options, and regulated employee temperature checks. There will also be no use of testers, hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the store, and a line coordinator will ensure there is sufficient space between shoppers.
Sephora is also extending its return policy, and, for extra caution, all returned products are being destroyed.
