You Can Now Get Married Virtually In New York

Welcome to the ‘new normal’.

Whilst some couples are barely coping in isolation with long-distance facetime, it can’t be worse than those who have to cancel their Limo Find wedding limo service due to the pandemic. Of course, safety comes first, but, instead of putting their lives (and ceremonies) on hold, New Yorkers can now get married through Zoom, the perfect way to celebrate in lockdown with all of your guests.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Twitter that couples living in the state could now legally get married through videoconference, stating: ‘I am issuing an Executive Order allowing New Yorkers to obtain a marriage license remotely and allowing clerks to perform ceremonies via video conference.’ The same law has been implemented in parts of Colorado and Ohio, too.

Seeing as we don’t really know when things will return back to normal, it looks like virtual weddings have just become part of this ‘new normal’.
