If you've already laid eyes on the Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 97/1, chances are you want it. The super-retro sneaker, designed with love by the vintage store owner and Air Max devotee, looks as if it's been crafted from vintage Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren cord shirts in a selection of washed-out colorways.

The winner of Nike's RevolutionAir 30th anniversary design competition back in 2017, the pair initially saw a very exclusive drop; now it's due a wider, yet still limited, release on Air Max Day 2018.

The corduroy upper of the sneaker features a gradient colorway, from a cornflower yellow at the top, through gray, salmon pink and blue to a forest green at the bottom. After the white midsole, the sole picks up on the colors from the upper, tying the whole design together perfectly.

When it comes to branding, you'll find a gold embroidered swoosh on both sides of the shoe as well as an extra mini blue swoosh on the outer side. You can customize the tongue with a choice of either a swoosh logo or wave-emblazoned velcro patch – a nod to vintage hub Wavey Garms, perhaps? Our favorite part of the shoe, however, has to be that rad acid rave smiley in the insock.

The Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 97/1 drops March 26 for $160 via a Nike SNKRS draw.
