Ruti Doesn't Want To Write Sad Songs Anymore
Her EP will make you feel warm all year round.
Ruti doesn’t have to be introduced to anyone anymore. The Voice UK 2018 winner, co-signed by Tyler, The Creator, a rising soul star of British-Nigerian descent. Her EP ‘All At Once,’ consisting of four songs and multiple emotions, has come out this Friday.
Last year, Ruti spoke to us about her EP and announced that she prepared 'a track for each season.’ She couldn’t be more right – ‘My Sunrise,’ ‘Daylight,’ ‘When It Rains,’ and ‘Closer to You’ blend weather and nature imagery with a modern take on soul and Ruti’s extraordinary voice.
In our interview, Ruti also promised that ‘All At Once’ will include mostly happy songs. ‘I don’t think I could write sad songs now,’ she admitted to us and added that her EP reveals another, cheerful side of her. She describes the opening track ‘My Sunrise,’ the release of which we featured earlier this year, as a really warm song that makes her really happy.
Hopefully, that’s how the EP will make you feel too. ‘All At Once’ is available on all streaming services.
