Rihanna Continues To Drop Hints For Fenty Maison Label
The anticipation rises.
RiRi is dropping hints here, there and everywhere for her luxury fashion debut with LVMH. In a teaser video shared on the Fenty Instagram page, a formation of models can be seen styled and poised in different locations in preparation for a larger shoot. Much like the first Fenty Beauty campaign, this short video celebrates women. For this collection, expect neutral tones, fitted tailoring and a sportswear feel.
Similar to Rihanna’s other successful brands, Fenty Maison will be an inclusive fashion house, with sizes up to a US 14. In the world of luxury fashion, this is game-changer. In an interview with The New York Times Style Magazine, Rihanna explained, “I’m thick and curvy right now, and so if I can’t wear my own stuff then, I mean, that’s not gonna work, right?”
The NY Times Style Magazine shared a sneak peak of this interview on their Instagram page (@tmagazine), with exclusive images of RiRi dressed in the Fenty label. She can be seen wearing a puff-sleeve, cotton shirt, a peach blazer-dress suit and what appears to be the brand’s signature: an oversized pair of sunglasses.
Fenty Maison will be a website-based company and therefore focus all of their sales online. Don’t expect any grand store openings or department store appearances in the near future. The Maison perhaps won’t be as accessible to Rihanna fans as Fenty Beauty or Fenty x Savage has been. Prices will start at roughly $200 and reach as high as the $1,500 mark. Although this sounds like a burden to your bank account, remember – Fenty Maison means luxury.
There isn’t long to wait now for a full glimpse of the line, as Fenty.com will fully launch on May 29th. Get ready.
