Richard Quinn’s Fall 2020 Collection Was A Mixture Of Glamour And Imagination

The young British designer brought his “fashion dreamhouse” into existence.

Richard Quinn, whose brand has been around for only two years, has already made his mark by becoming one of the star designers at London Fashion Week. His signature florals and voluminous silhouettes have been worn by Hollywood royalty including Amal Clooney, Queen Bey, Kendall Jenner, and Jennifer Lopez.

For his fall 2020 range, Quinn held his show at the Royal Show Horticultural Hall in South London, where he delivered a spectacular tour de force of floral prints and vibrant hues.

For the first three looks, models were clad from head-to-toe in crystal embroidery and pearls – with cheeky sayings like “God Save the Quinn” embellished on jackets of his pearly Kings and Queens. An homage to a working-class tradition in London of wearing ensembles adorned in pearls that date back to the 19th century.

Other models were dressed in ‘80s-inspired minis, layered on top of black full-body latex suits which gave a touch of hardcore edge. The FW20 collection also featured statement accessories like punkish spiked helmets and veils. And for the first time, Quinn introduced menswear with a plethora of super-flared suits.
