The highly anticipated Nike collab with creative director of Givenchy women’s and men’s and founder of 1017 ALYX 9SM, Matthew M Williams has finally been given a release date.

Matthew’s take on the Nike MMW Zoom 4 sneaker was leaked and teased earlier this year.

The new ‘Bone White’ colorway was first revealed at Nikes future sport forum event and was said to be a new expression of sport that was originally designed to mark the the now postponed Tokyo Olympics.

The new design includes a statement elongated rubber sole turning the sneaker into an architectural platform-esc sneaker with footwear technology, including Nike shox-inspired Pebax plates and zoom air unit hybrid EVA foam midsoles.

A neutral sand tone runs throughout the shoe, with an almost ombre effect, fading the warm tone to a clean white. Silver metallic hardware details complement the sneakers color along with black thin laces and the iconic Nike Swoosh  the light tones of the shoe.

Mesh is featured throughout the shoe along with heat welded taping that wraps around the heel. Nike’s Swoosh takes mid foot stage along with mini Swooshes placed on the heel counters.

For the design of the sneaker, Williams was given full creative freedom, adding his name on the lace keepers and MMW in black above the toe box, heel and insoles.

Ahead of the launch the sneaker has already been praised by Skepta, Playboi Carti and Bella Hadid.

The sneaker will drop on the 21st December via Nike SNKRS and on 1017 ALYX 9SM’s website for $450 USD.
