IMMI DASH: You Got A Cold Heart But I Can Be Colder
The R&B Newcomer Releases New Song "COLD HEART"
Flaunting her soulful vocal range over hazy chords and a trippy '90s-flavoured beat, “Cold Heart" depicts the empowerment gained after a broken relationship, and the strength to overcome hurt by moving on to better things. Accompanied by a stunning music video, the sleek sound waves are brought to life in an outburst of moody, night-soaked cinematography, split into two ‘scenes’ as Dash straps on her headphones and takes on the world.
Speaking of the record, Immi Dash mentions: 'Cold Heart’ is a confidence booster for me. I wanted to write something with producer Cal Lewis that I could put on my pre-gig playlist, so I can go out on stage and feel like a badass. Although there are moments of vulnerability in the lyrics, the song is a power move and it helps me to feel more self-assured.”
Born in Scotland to British and Trinidadian parents but raised in the US, Dash’s international background introduced her to a wealth of material – with those early influences helping to shape her direction while giving her insights into a variety of music cultures, Dash started making a name for herself by taking to the stage across multiple festivals and showcases across Europe and the UK.
With only a short time in the limelight, the young talent has sharply crashed into public consciousness - her recent singles "Show Me” and “You Ain’t Good” gained significant attention across the likes of global tastemakers outlets. Spreading her unique artistry across international borders, Dash earned an opening slot for legendary hip hop collective Slum Village on April 21st and key placement on Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent longlist for 2023.
