Police Shut Down 3000 Person Hide And Seek Game In Ikea

Ready or not, here the police come!

POSTED BY MEGHNA AMIN

More than 3000 people from Scotland had planned a giant game of hide-and-seek at an IKEA store, but unfortunately, police were around to break up the fun.

The furniture heaven in Glasgow was going to be turned into a playground, taking shoppers back to their youths, as a Facebook event page was revealed, but sadly, this led to the store staff calling the police in advance to break up any fun and games that might turn dangerous.

5 policemen were stationed at the shop for the whole day on 31st August, and whilst there were no arrests or real issues for them to deal with, the game was obviously canceled.

This might not be the only IKEA where the game will go on, however, as 32,000 Facebook users reportedly signed up to a similar event in The Netherlands. With perfect hiding spots like wardrobes and under beds, we can’t really blame shoppers trying to relive their childhoods, can we?!
