Party Mode Unlocked: Embellished Denim Takes The Stage

As a proud and loud supporter of the jean, you can only imagine my joy at the idea of embellished denim. I very nearly gasped out loud, and I’m positive you will too. From the traditional sparkles to fringe, denim is evolving rapidly, and I, for one, could not be more glad. A quick search of ‘embellished denim jacket’ will yield hundreds of results, from designer brands to high street retailers. While most lower-cost manufacturers are keeping it safe with rhinestones, a select few have embraced the fringe of it all, going for a more Western-inspired look with a range of silhouettes.

I have always found the jean to be a comforting companion: on the worst days, I find her reliable and effortless. Able to survive that brunch to shopping to night out transition with no more than a jacket or top change, I truly believe jeans are one of, if not the most, versatile types of trousers. Dark blue for winter, light blue for summer and grey for rainy days, they are chic, put together, and aesthetic. I find nothing gains more compliments than a well-fitted pair, low or high rise.

Now, we’ve unlocked party mode. The eyelet jeans have come to play, offering a visually appealing alternative to the more commonly seen rhinestone look. Joining our fringe jeans on the stage, the eyelet jeans come in a range of styles, from large holes that can be used to display tights underneath, to smaller more subtle looks. Available from a range of retailers and at differing price points, I must admit, I’m a fan. An eyelet jean feels like less of a commitment to glam than a rhinestone jean, but a little more put together than a fringe jean.
