Øneheart And Baobei Want You To “don’t Need to Know”

The electronic wunderkind is entering a louder, more euphoric era.

If you know Øneheart from “snowfall,” you might not expect his latest track to sound quite like this.

The 20-year-old Russian producer has built a huge following around atmospheric, cinematic electronic music, but his new single “don’t Need to Know,” featuring UK artist Baobei, pushes that sound somewhere much more energetic. Released October 2, the track arrives alongside a striking new video and the announcement of Øneheart’s upcoming album, naturecore, due November 20.

From Ambient To All-Out Energy

“don’t Need to Know” starts with delicate piano before quickly opening up into a glitchy, high-tempo electronic track. Percussion builds underneath sharp synths, while Baobei’s vocals add a more personal element to the production.

The lyrics center around leaving an older version of yourself behind and figuring out who you’re becoming — a fitting theme for an artist who seems determined not to stay in the musical lane that first made him famous.

That evolution has already been happening throughout 2026. Øneheart released the find yourself EP in May, a project he described as being about the collapse of a former identity and the uncertainty of becoming someone new.

Now, “don’t Need to Know” takes that idea somewhere much bigger.

The Artist Behind “Snowfall”

At just 20, Øneheart has already had the kind of career most artists would wait years for. His atmospheric collaboration “snowfall” with reidenshi became a global viral hit, helping bring his cinematic electronic sound to listeners far beyond the underground ambient scene. Monstercat describes his Øneheart project as spanning atmospheric styles including wave, ambient and phonk.

But rather than simply recreating the sound that worked, Øneheart has continued experimenting. His recent releases have moved between ambient, experimental electronic music and more energetic territory, with “don’t Need to Know” pushing that evolution even further.

Baobei feels like a natural fit for this new direction, too. The UK artist has been building her own dance-focused world, describing her music as “dancefloor diary entries” inspired by relationships, self-discovery and all the messiness in between.

What’s Coming With naturecore?

“don’t Need to Know” is the latest preview of naturecore, Øneheart’s upcoming album, which arrives November 20.

If the new single is anything to go by, we shouldn't expect another album that simply tries to recreate the magic of “snowfall.” Instead, Øneheart seems to be using his already massive audience as a starting point for something more experimental, emotional and unpredictable.

And honestly, we're much more interested in artists who refuse to stay in one sound anyway.
