Olivia Munn's Powerful Breast Cancer Campaign

SKIMS has unveiled a new campaign featuring actor and activist Olivia Munn, in collaboration with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, aimed at raising breast cancer awareness. This initiative draws attention to Munn’s personal experience with breast cancer and urges women to prioritize their health by getting regular screenings.

Munn’s openness about her battle with breast cancer earlier this year led to a significant impact. Following her story, the National Cancer Institute’s breast cancer risk assessment tool saw a surge in traffic, with a 500% increase in visits. Paula Schneider, president and CEO of Susan G. Komen, remarked on the influence of Munn’s voice, emphasizing how vital it is to amplify these stories in the fight against a disease that affects one woman every two minutes in the U.S. Schneider further stressed the importance of addressing the rising number of cases among women under 50.

 

 

The campaign, shot by renowned photographer Vanessa Beecroft, showcases Munn wearing key pieces from SKIMS, including the Nipple Bra, Teardrop Push-Up Bra, Back Smoothing Brief Bodysuit, and Multi-way Bra. Reflecting on her involvement, Munn shared her connection to the cause, stating, “Partnering with SKIMS and Susan G. Komen is deeply meaningful to me, and I’m grateful to help raise awareness for something so personal.”

To further support breast cancer awareness, SKIMS will donate 10% of all bra sales made between October 23 and 31, both in-store and online, to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This collaboration not only highlights the importance of self-care and early detection but also reinforces the power of community in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
