Nike Set To Open New Stores That Put The Emphasis On Women
We can’t wait to check them out…
Following the success of the Nike Live concept stores in Shibuyo, Tokyo, and Melrose and Long Beach, California, Nike have shared plans to open 150-200 small-format stores that will carry the same girl-heavy emphasis, in a bid to grow sales to women.
The concept stores have stood out for their seamless marrying of a digital and personable service. This perfect combination of customer experience married with an extensive collection of women’s apparel, bra-fittings and workouts will be carried through to the smaller format stores.
It is not unbeknown that us female sneaker lovers can often find ourselves limited to browsing a corner section of a store that has been dedicated mostly to showcasing sneakers for boys. So this news from Nike is music to our ears and we fully support this move by Nike to give more to us girls.
Nike CEO John Donahoe has noted that ‘this quarter women’s [apparel market in the US] grew at twice the rate of men’s.’ Yes Donahoe, we are HERE for Nike Apparel and we are here eagerly awaiting the opening of these new stores.
The stores are set to open over the next couple of years across Europe, North America, The Middle East and Africa.
