Nike To Release New Dunk High In Varsity Purple
The popular silhouette gets a luxe upgrade.
Whilst most of 2020’s Nike Dunk rollouts have borrowed heavily from the original 80s Dunk style, Nike Sportswear’s latest iteration of one of this year’s most sought after silhouettes comes with a twist. The women’s Dunk High “Varsity Purple” blends old and new, modernising the OG Dunk with new details.
Whilst the uppers remain true to the classic Dunk features with a mix of white and purple leather- white across the toe box, quarters and collars, and purple sweeping across the swoosh, mudguards, collar flaps and heels- other elements have been given the 2020 treatment.
Fresh off the back of their Cactus Plant Flea Market collab, Nike have continued to dial up the luxe factor across the Dunk range. The sneakers feature gold detailing on the Nike tongue badge and have been treated to a satin collar lining. The sole continues to seamlessly blend traditional features with new elements, with the crisp white midsole you’d expect from your Dunks merged with a purple tinted translucent outsole.
Looking to get your hands on a pair? Rumor is that the sneaker will be dropping on December 3 on Nike’s SNKRS app with a $120 MSRP, but this is yet to be confirmed by Nike.
