Nike Makes Waves With The Victory Swim Collection

The latest innovative release from Nike takes the form of their Victory Swim Collection which will be available in February of 2020. The positive reception received by the Nike Pro Hijab formed the basis for the collection, which is designed for female athletes wanting full coverage along with full range of motion. Most swimwear for female athletes either compromise coverage or comfort, however Nike wanted to create a collection which caters for both of these things.

The collection features four pieces; the full coverage swimsuit, the swim Hijab, the swim tunic top and swim leggings. All of the pieces are made from quick drying warp-knit breathable fabric and offer sun protection with a UPF 40+ rating. Nike really have thought of everything with this range—the full coverage swim suit and swim tunic top boast a built in sports bra with perforated cups. The swim Hijab features an integrated mesh pocket, designed to hold the hair in place whilst swimming underwater. The Nike Creative Director, Martha Moore commented on the design process, stating that “we’re excited to inspire more women to see themselves in sport by thinking creatively and designing inclusively.”

The collection will be available to purchase from the 1st of February 2020 online and at certain Nike retailers.
