Nicole McLaughlin X Reebok Release Sustainable Capsule Collection
A collection that you certainly don’t want to miss.
Designer turned upcycling fanatic, Nicole McLaughlin is known for her unique creative style and passion in sustainable creation. Her surrealist aesthetic has caused quite a stir on Instagram, after debuting designs such as the egg box slide (with real eggs) and ice tray sandal. On 13th September, McLaughlin released an exclusive capsule collection with leading sportswear brand, Reebok, which contained one-off designs recreated from old sportswear pieces.
The 17 piece collection featured a variety of exclusive items that the designer had remade from vintage Reebok products. Inspired by the heritage of the brand, and desire to create new products from old, unloved items, this collection really is one of a kind. Some of our favorite pieces include the drawstring bag sneaker and the strappy shoulder bag, made of old cuttings of Reebok shoes (cool right?). These spectacular pieces are all made by hand, making each item unique and perfectly imperfect.
The release took place at the Reebok Union Square Store, New York City. Being a very exclusive release, the collection was made available between 7 pm and 9 pm, or you can still enter an online sign up at the Reebok website, we promise you won’t regret it.
