New Artwork Combines Wes Anderson’s Creations With Modern Footwear
Sneakers and the big screen.
23-year-old Ilaria Colombo has composed a series of beautiful images, which combine her two passions: sneakers and the films of Wes Anderson.
After graduating from Politecnico di Milano with a fashion design degree, the designer has undertaken an art project, which places delicately illustrated sneakers over famous images from movies such as The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Royal Tenenbaums.
Drawing on Anderson’s famous color schemes we see stills from his films merging with some of the biggest sneakers out there; Jordan’s, Air Max, and Nike Air Monarch’s, reimagined into matching hues.
When speaking about this artwork Colombo said that she has ‘always been fascinated by the colors and the nuances of Anderson’s films’.
