Nafsika Skourti Is A Conversation Starter

POSTED BY DANIJEL VUKOJA

Fashion designer NAFSIKA SKOURTI describes herself as half Greek, half Jordanian and half internet. Being half internet is the dopest shit we have heard in a long time and we seriously wonder where we can apply for this nationality, because we are already citizens. Our passport request is real right now.

Together with her sister Stephanie (who worked for Goldman Sacks and is prolly doing the business part of it all), the contemporary womenswear brand is not just producing pretty clothes for girls, but their third collection “Temporary Security” has a political message. With words like ‘self-destruct,’ ‘waiting is forbidden,’ ‘borders’ and ‘television’ are stitched onto the clothing, in both Arabic and English, the label is providing aesthetic stimulation and at the same time starting a conversation. Let the fashion talk…
