Mugler’s Spring/Summer 2021 Collection Is Here

The freaky video shows models walking backward and doing somersaults in its latest Ready-to-wear.

POSTED BY VIKTORIE BREZINOVA

Mugler has introduced the second part of its Spring/Summer 2021 line on Wednesday and it’s scandalous as always.

Under the arms of Casey Cadwaller, Mugler’s Creative Director, the French brand released a reversed six-and-half-minute video of its new collection worn by an unusual cast while walking the dark-themed runway, spiced up with trap-house music.

The video starts with Cadwaller throwing model Bella Hadid in the air and continues with actress Hunter Schafer and top model Irina Shayk walking backward the runway straight away.

The casting adds up to the steamy collection as it includes not only models but also other famous faces such as actresses Dominique Jackson and Omahyra Mota, meme queen Patia Borja, performance artist Kembra Pfahler and many more.

Same as last year's collection, the runway looks feature Mugler's characteristic style, known for its tendency to the iconography of sexual fetishism, dominating in corseted curves, sheer laces, high-heeled boots and one-shouldered tops.

The video is the second part of a two-part presentation with the first half already being released back in October 2020.

You can check the runway looks below.
