Moschino's FW18 Show Was A Pastel-Popping Jackie O Tribute

Suiting meets eveningwear.

POSTED BY DEE CUNNING

Moschino's Jeremy Scott has never been one to shy away from a good theme – and an OTT one at that. We've seen McDonalds, Candy Crush, Barbie, actual garbage and, most recently, a full-on sexecutive affair for the label's Fall/Winter 2018 menswear show. Moschino's latest offering, however, left behind a lot of the usual tack in favor of a decidedly more sophisticated aesthetic.

Moschino's Fall/Winter 2018 womenswear show was all about the late first lady Jackie Kennedy, the '60s style icon who popularized pillbox hats, pastel-toned two-piece suits, shoulder-bearing gowns, elbow-length gloves, and a particularly voluminous coif.

All of these signature style elements took center stage in the collection, modeled by an entire roster of model clones, including Kaia Gerber, Joan Smalls, Bella Hadid, and Gigi Hadid. And there was an added bit of edge and Instagram-ready appeal in the form of biker-style jackets, fluffy backpacks and shades a little slimmer than Jackie O's preferred oversized style.

Check out all of the looks in the gallery above.
