Monki Launches Its First Sustainable Swimwear Collection

Saving the oceans one bikini at a time!

POSTED BY SASKIA SEIFERT

This spring, fashion brand Monki launches its first sustainable swimwear collection. Made of recycled polyester and recycled polyamide, for example of PET bottles and fibers from production residues. This is for the fashion brand another step towards 2030 exclusively using recycled or otherwise more sustainable materials.

"We always try to find more sustainable ways of fashion. It feels good, offering swimwear made from recycled to offer materials,” says Managing Director Jennie Dahlin Hansson.

The bathing collection for the summer of 2019 exudes real retro vibes thanks to off-the-shoulder ruffles, cut-out details, and high-cut bikini bottoms. Leopard print, citrus fruits, and golden beige tones set the tone in this collection, too comes up with red, green and bold prints. With a sporty touch can the style a collection, whatever you like — for the beach, the pool, the garden or every other Insta moment.

Get ready to dive! The collection will be available in stores and online in spring.
