Grab A Shoulder To Cry On! Here Comes Millie Bobby Brown's Acceptance Speech

We warned you— have your tissues ready.

POSTED BY ALLISON EDWARDS

Not only does Millie Bobby Brown give us all the feels in “Stranger Things,” she’s pretty good at pulling on our emotions IRL, too. She might only be 13-years-old, but Brown won the award for Best Actor in TV at last night’s MTV Movie & TV Awards, and her acceptance speech will have you reaching for the tissue box.

Over the past year, Brown and the rest of the “Stranger Things” cast have had some serious breakout stardom. And from performing “Uptown Funk” at the Emmys to announcing that “Stranger Things” Season 2 is on its way, it doesn’t look like the momentum is slowing down anytime soon.

Obviously overwhelmed by hearing her name called out at the awards show, Brown swarmed into a massive hug with her cast mates before heading up to the stage, where the one and only Zac Efron handed her the golden popcorn.

On stage, the British actress gave a whopper of a speech, bursting into tears before even saying a word. She went through the usual “thank you” routine but with a particular charm. Brown thanked her parents, her publicists (“you guys are like my best friends”) and the cast and crew ("my second family”).

Then, she had a very special shout out for the “Stranger Things” creators, Matt and Ross Duffer.

“Lastly I want to thank the Duffer brothers because they have created a badass, female, iconic character that I’ve got the honor to play,” she said.

Following her win, Brown took to Instagram to again express how EXTREMELY excited she was to win the award.

“You guys…I’m so happy!” she said.

Later, even Zac Efron shared how mesmerized he was by Brown’s win.

We can’t help but feel this win was something the universe needed. Millie Bobby Brown’s English accent sparkled; the “Stranger Things” cast shone with cuteness and goodness; the world has been restored to its equilibrium. No matter what happens today, we will still be drying our eyes from Brown’s infectious happiness and gratefulness.
