Milk Makeup Raises Over $100,000 For Coronavirus Relief Fund
The brand raised funds in 24 hours for healthcare workers and local businesses.
$106,264.31 USD has been raised within 24 hours for the New York City COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund by Milk Makeup sales on April 10th.
The beauty brand pledged donations to the fund, in order to provide resources and benefits for those who need it as a result of the pandemic. This includes local businesses, healthcare, and essential workers, as well as New York City residents who are now unable to work or are especially vulnerable due to Coronavirus.
Alongside the donation, the brand donated 1,555 limited edition Wu-Tang Clan x Milk Makeup lipsticks to customers spending $55 USD on their purchases and has donated $250,000 USD worth of their skincare products to hospital staff and first responders in the city, ‘to help them get in some much-needed self-care’ according to their Instagram post.
Milk Makeup CEO Tim Coolican said: ‘Every cent counts, and every cent is going back to [Mayor Bill de Blasio’s] NYC COVID-19 Emergency Fund. Thank you again to all of the brave first responders in New York and around the world’.
