Manta Opsâ Search For Belonging
Beyonce slayed our lives for day after day after day now. We had to recover a little bit and ask ourselves: Did she really do what she did? Is this real life? What is happening and who are we? But slowly coming back to life and somewhere in the process of realizing that we managed to exist at the same time as Beyonce, although the earth is 4 billion years old, we found label MANTA OPS.
22 year old designer Ramza Heiral, who is based in Seattle/USA describes his label MANTA OPS as following: âMantra is as pure an expression of myself as possible. Itâs as genuine as possible. Nothing is forced. Manta is simply a combination of everything I love and am inspired by. Iâll release what represents me as a person. Nothing more and nothing less.â His Manta collection #2 named âNew Cold Warâ explores the themes of isolation, oneâs search for belonging and the struggle for power in todayâs society. Where everyone is connected more than ever before but have never felt more alone. The struggle is pretty much represented by dark colors, in the collection as well as the lookbook, and a black rope, a constantly recurring symbol.
Case they slay. Slay. All day. Okay (will this Beyonce thing ever end?)
