Make It BLACK: Pull Up For Change Campaign Launches New Makeup Collabs
Funds from the project will go towards helping Black-owned businesses.
If you’re looking a good excuse to buy some new makeup, look no further. Some of our favorite brands, including NYX, Colourpop and Maybelline, have teamed up with Pull Up For Change to launch a number of limited editions products. The collection includes eyeshadow, lipstick and even a hair mask, so it’s safe to say they’ve covered most of their bases.
The collab plans to raise funds for Black businesses and challenge pre-existing perceptions around what it means to be Black, including a call to change the dictionary definition of the word. Profits from the collection will go towards the new Pull Up For Change Impact Fund, which aims to support existing black owned businesses and offer grants to benefit black founders.
The campaign comes after the success of the #pulluporshutup challenge, during which Pull Up For Change founder Sharon Chuter called for companies to share how many Black people were being given positions of higher power within their organisations.
The products are already available online at Ulta and makeitblack.org
