Luan Luan's 'Would Be Better': A Luminous Anthem For A Brighter Reality

Transforms heartbreak into a beacon of optimism.

Luan Luan doesn't write love songs so much as emotional scavenger hunts. Their latest single, Would Be Better, takes the jagged edges of heartbreak and dresses them in a glow of optimism, like finding sunlight pouring through a cracked window.

Spanish-born multi-instrumentalist Luan Luan is back with their second single of 2025, Would Be Better a shimmering sequel to last year's Nonsense. Both tracks orbit the same toxic relationship, but this time Luan leans into the possibility of escape, sketching out a brighter reality through melody. Written shortly after leaving Madrid for Brighton, the track's upbeat pulse disguises the storm it was born in, turning heartbreak into a spark for reinvention.

Melancholy Wrapped in Metaphor

The lyrics unravel like diary entries in code, abstract questions and vivid metaphors that spin through push-and-pull dynamics, illusions of truce, and the ache of knowing the end is near. One moment they're asking if love could fly on another sky, the next they're whispering a near-farewell: There's not much time, I just want to make things right. It's messy, contradictory, and exactly what falling out of love feels like. Would Be Better lands as track two of Luans debut EP, set to drop late 2025, proof that even the hardest goodbyes can sing themselves into something luminous.
